The check engine light is on in my car and we had it tested at auto zone and they said that it was misfireing, i just need to know how to change the spark plugs and wires. I am a single mom and expectant mom on a VERY tight budget so I prefer to do it myself.1997 Chrysler Concorde LX misfireing?
You are going to need a 5/8 socket or a 11/16 spark plug socket, you will need a extension and a ratchet to remove the spark plugs, Pull 1 plug at a time and replace the 1 you take out, don't forget to check the spark plug gap. you can find that info on the label on your radiator shroud.
The wire's should also be replaced 1 at a time to avoid cross firing.1997 Chrysler Concorde LX misfireing?
the folks at auto zone should be able to give you the correct fireing order of you plugs, ask them what they are gapped at and get a gap gauge and install them, see if you can get a friend to do it for you,not wise with you being pregnant1997 Chrysler Concorde LX misfireing?
did they tell u code ? probably needs tune up but cant go by what auto zone says.i think the upper intake will need to be removed to change rear plugs. please if thats the case take it to a shop to have done. bad news motor dont kill yourself1997 Chrysler Concorde LX misfireing?
3.3L or 3.5L they are totally different and the cost is significantly different.

What possiblies make car stalled?
I have a Eclipse spyder 97 gs 5 speed none turbo, keep stalling when i drive it off the freeway and enter the small road, then it slow down then it stall. I try to start and it start for 1 or 2 second then it die.,,have to wait like 30minute then it start up again and drivable again.
Here is what it think it might cause and i planning to change if you guy agree.
1) IAC -Idle air control = maybe too many dust modd onto it.
2) MAP- Manifold air pressure = not sure how i gonna fix this.
3) Thottle body = not sure how i gonna get this clean or fix or change
4) spark plug +spark wire + distributor cab are all not good.
these are all i can think that make the car stall, even car trying to stall while running on freeway. Happen to me once.
What do u guy think. What possiblies make car stalled?
Replace your fuel filter.
check your fuel lines for leak.
Meanwhile if you want a tune up go for it. Likely there are many issues.

How much would this cost? Tune up and fuse?
I have a 96 Pontiac Grand AM SE..I'm going to get a tune up..I won't need the air/fuel filter changed because I just got those changed about a month ago..so I would probably just need my spark plugs/wires changed? Also, I need a fuse changed...nothing major, just my lights where my heater buttons won't light up and it'd be a lot easier if they DID! so about how much would this cost me for spark plugs and wires re-done..and a new fuse? I live in Ohio and my car has about 125,XXX miles on itHow much would this cost? Tune up and fuse?
It would depend on the engine size,a ball park figure;$75-$150.00
It might be more if eng.diagnostics are done be fore the work, because a
tune up may not be what you need.
Your fuse box will have a layout of your fuses printed on the cover.
You can find the right fuse and test with a test light. It is possible
that it may be a bulb behind the heater control panel.
How much would this cost? Tune up and fuse?
bout $100-140, but if you are a bit mechanicly inclined , id recommend doing the work your self , that job on that car is very very easy, specially if its the 4 cylinder, the parts will cost u at auto zone about $40, and even the haynes auto book(repair manual) is there for that car and thats $15 and it will tell you how to do everything to that car with pics and diagrams, about the heater lights , sometimes they get loose , try giving the heater some love taps, the light just might go back on, i dont think its the fuse, i think its the bulb How much would this cost? Tune up and fuse?
The spare part price of one spark plug is several bucks according to differrent brand. Labor fee is about half hour to one hour I guess.
I have no idea about your wires.
It is better if you know the model of the fuse. You can ask %26quot;Auto zone%26quot;
the price of a new fuse.

Where can i find the Brake Booster line?
Im thinking of doing a eaFoam for the beginning of the year. I cut the water bottle and made sure there is NO Water in it.
I have also heard that you should NOT suck more than 1/3 the can INTo the engine THROUGH the Brake Booster.
Now, 3 questions:
1) How do i %26quot;Remove%26quot; the Brake Booster Line? (1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Iron Duke 2.5L Tech4)
2) do you REV the engine while it SLOWLY Sucks, or NOT?
3) HOW LONG do you let it RUN before you turn it OFF to let it SIT?
I already know you have some in the Oil and Gas already when you do, and then let it run until Smoke (Carbon) Clears.. then take a 50 to 100-mile Round Trip, THEN change Oil, Spark Plugs, Wires (tune up) as your INJECTORS are Nice and Clean, but your Oil will be sludgy black Garbage by that time? (Cleaner engine, better)
ThanksWhere can i find the Brake Booster line?
The brake booster is mounted behind the master cylinder on the booster there is one hose about the size of a garden hose this is your vacuum supply to the booster it has a directional valve in the hose at the booster end that is made of plastic caution must be used to prevent cracking it while trying to pull it out of the booster grommet. Spray it with a lubricant to ease removal. The valve itself will have to be removed from the hose to allow the vacuum to pull the foam in through the intake. Yes you may have to rev the engine a little to keep it running.Where can i find the Brake Booster line?
You need a brake bleeder kit. It is a hand pump that pushes brake fluid in the lines and the brakes until it comes out clean and air free.
The car is off and the brkae lines are open so the excess fluid drains out.

94 toyota camry le 4 cylinder 175000 mi. Failed smog test twice?
94 toyota camry le 4 cylinder 175000 mi. Failed smog test twice I don't qualify for cap program since I am transferring into my name. Check engine light is on got codes 25 and 26 so it's running rich and lean. Car shakes and Runs rough idle and running ancd it is misfiring. I can smell gas comin from the rear of the car. Now i'm having a hard time starting the engine I have to pump / rev on gas to get rpms up just for engine to stay on. I'm running out of time to pass smog. I changed spark plugs and wires air filter...someone told me to change the fuel filter since I occasionally run my car on e or with the fuel light on. What could my problem ne and how can I fix it so I pass smog?94 toyota camry le 4 cylinder 175000 mi. Failed smog test twice?
You said you changed your plugs and wires... Did you change the cap and rotor? If you haven't I would start there. But, word of warning... Take the cap off and leave the wires on it. mount the new cap on the distributor, then transfer the wires from the old cap onto the new one. One by one.
Don't forget to replace the Rotor (inside the cap) If you know all of this already I'm sorry to insult you with details.
Also if it's not the cap or rotor your distributor may be bad or heading there pretty quickly. From what you have told me I'm guessing it's your cap and rotor. Need any other info feel free to e-mail me
Tim
PS... it's a super easy fix!94 toyota camry le 4 cylinder 175000 mi. Failed smog test twice?
Could be the catalytic converter, lot of miles.94 toyota camry le 4 cylinder 175000 mi. Failed smog test twice?
Based on your codes your problem is most likely a bad oxygen sensor. This sensor tells the computer if your running too rich or too lean and then adjusts the mixture to compensate. There are two sensors, one before the catalytic converter and one after.french name for House training puppy

How do I lower my HC to pass emmissions?
I have a 89 Olds Cutlass Ciera that passed everything but NOx at first, 2.75, should be 2, then after I ran fuel injector cleaner through it and then later octane boost, my mechanic happened to find a broken fuse end in my EGR valve and said that could be the reason why it wasn't passing NOx... he couldn't do the test because his machine was down... another guy checked the EGR valve and said it was faulty and that someone must have put the fuse in to bypass it, but I know my mech wouldn't do that... he wanted a high amount(over 500) to change it... so I took it to my wife's cousin's shop where he works, and he said he was pretty sure he could get it to pass for me... NOW the NOx is .09 but the HC is about 3.5 when it should be lower than 0.8, which it was earlier... I remembered I hadn't changed spark plugs or wires in about two years... so if I go get them changed, the HC should pass then right??How do I lower my HC to pass emmissions?
never mind the additives and the cat, do a full tune up and the hcs should drop. How do I lower my HC to pass emmissions?
change the fuel mixture.. that is three gallon of gas to two quarts of menthenol.. and it will pass...How do I lower my HC to pass emmissions?
Also change your cataletic converter. a new converter will give you great emissions results.

What should I know when having someone work on my home or car when I cannot do it myself?
I'm not particularly skilled at any one trade but I know how to use basic tools like wrenches, hammers, saws, screwdrivers, and measuring tape for minor vehicle maintenanc ( only wrenches and screw drivers for vehicle repairs) or home improvements. I can change the oil, oil filter, brake pads, air filter, spark plugs and spark plug wires on my truck (relatively minor things) but the more advanced stuff (computer controlled wiring, fixing head gaskets, cylynders, transmissions, etc) I am not skilled at, plus I don't have my own garage. Around the house, I can tighten fixtures such as toilet paper holders, towel holders, faucets, etc and fix broken furniture when the damage is minor. What should I do so that I don't get taken advantage of by some unscrupulous mechanic, carpenter, plumber, sheetrock contractor or electrician (I have been the victim of one once), when it comes to more advanced repairs and building work that I'm not as skilled at? What laws should I be aware of?What should I know when having someone work on my home or car when I cannot do it myself?
I always do research before I hire anyone to do work for me whether it be for my businesses, rentals, automotive repairs or around the house. I check out automotive repair shops to see whether they are AAA approved or if there are any complaints against them registered with the Better Business Bureau. Besides checking the BBB, I check out contractors to see whether their license numbers are legitimately registered with our state licensing board. (You'd be surprised at how many %26quot;contractors%26quot; use bogus license numbers. Our state maintains a website that makes it easy to check them out.) I also make certain that contractors are bonded, have insurance and worker's compensation. I try to make sure that they don't hire illegal aliens, but that is getting to be more difficult. I always ask for references and examples of their work. When I recently hired a painting contractor, I physically drove to the addresses they gave me, spoke to their clients and inspected their work. Also, I always ask for an estimate, get at least three bids and a written contract. It really is the contract that protects you legally. What should I know when having someone work on my home or car when I cannot do it myself?
The best way to pick a carpenter or mechanic, is to talk to friends or people in the community. I personally think that's best. always get a second or third opinion or more and always ask questions and learn what is happening. always get it in writting and check to see it is done right. there is no fool proof way of getting things done but by asking lots of questions you stand a better chance of learning and not getting ripped off. remember your common sense. if it don't sound right get it check by someone else and someone else till it does. and learn to live with your mistakes and learn to learn from themWhat should I know when having someone work on my home or car when I cannot do it myself?

Ok let's start with a Hyphothetical Sceniero: Umm, ok, you want to replace the carpeting in the living room and you need to use a %26quot;professional%26quot; to install it. 1). learn whats involved in %26quot;replacing carpeting.%26quot; (as if you were goinig to do it yourself). 2). what tools does ir require, ie:your materials list. 3). figure (area size) how much carpet you'd need. 4). find out who is charging what (call around, yellow pages?). 5). check for little things like discounts, warranty's, gaurentees, etc.
Main point is.......THE MORE YOU KNOW about whats going on, even though it's not YOU doing it, doesnt matter. You not being taken advantage of does! Knowledge is power and the only Stupid Questions...Are the ones %26quot;UN-ASKED%26quot;.What should I know when having someone work on my home or car when I cannot do it myself?
